🧩 Structural Revit Technician (3-6 years experience) – BIM-Focused, Career-Defining Opportunity

High-Profile Projects | True BIM Influence | Grow Into a Technical Leader

This is not a “draw what you’re told” Revit role.

It’s an opportunity for a Structural Revit Technician who wants to understand the full picture — how models are built, how information flows, and how BIM can genuinely improve the way a consultancy works.

Too often, technicians are treated as a necessity rather than a differentiator.

Here, the opposite is true.

Why this role is genuinely rare

This consultancy is already delivering high-profile, complex projects and is firmly in a growth phase. From a technician’s perspective, it’s close to dream territory.

Until 18 months ago, their BIM work was handled externally. Since then, they’ve invested properly — bringing in a dedicated BIM Lead who you’d work directly alongside, not beneath. This is a collaborative, idea-driven environment where your input will actively shape how things are done.

You won’t just be following processes — you’ll help create them.

What you’ll be involved in

  • Producing and coordinating structural models in Revit
  • Working closely with the BIM Lead to develop and refine workflows
  • Introducing and implementing improvements to modelling standards and efficiency
  • Exposure to the wider BIM ecosystem, not just isolated modelling tasks

For someone interested in upskilling — particularly into computational software — this role actively encourages that growth. If you already have those skills, even better. If not, the support and opportunity to learn is very much there.

Who this suits

  • A Structural Revit Technician who wants to be more than a background function
  • Someone curious, forward-thinking, and invested in how BIM should be done
  • A technician who enjoys problem-solving and improving systems, not just using them
  • Anyone who sees themselves growing into a senior or leadership position in time

The long-term picture

This is the kind of role that gives you things to talk about for years to come — meaningful involvement, real influence, and visible impact.

And you may not even need the CV.

As the team grows, there’s a very real possibility of stepping into a co-leadership position within a group of technicians. At the very least, you’ll be instrumental in building and guiding a growing technical function from an early stage.

For the right technician, this isn’t just a job.

It’s a platform.
