Wouldn't it be nice to have a 3-day weekend every other week?

I'm not sure many would disagree with that, especially if their income & hours worked remained the same, or even improved.

I'm looking to speak with smart, versatile & ambitious Structural Engineers in London between 3-5 years of experience, as I look to help two long term clients of mine with their continued & sustained growth plans, due to more project wins. Ideally, you'll be wanting to achieve chartered status in the next 12-24 months, with their support.

Sure, a 3-day weekend is cool but these two consultancies are also up there with the best when it comes to supporting younger engineers - both boasting great track records with those they've hired as graduates, as well as those they've onboarded a few years in.

That said, if you're 3-5 years into your career & hoping to get chartered in the next 12-24 months (which we hope you are), that extra day each fortnight could make a really big difference when considering your ability to achieve your goals & prepare accordingly - whether that's preparing your portfolio or preparing for the exam.

And in the meantime, in the 9 days each fortnight you do work, you'll be exposed to a multitude of projects in various sectors, ranging from cultural buildings, office refurbishments, luxurious country homes (for rock stars!), schools & learning centres, and even projects within the events space, including demountable structures.

If you find yourself working on office refurb after office refurb or concrete frame after concrete frame... which can probably get quite repetitive & maybe a little brain numbing... these two places would really sing to you, hence requiring people who are versatile in nature & appreciate versatility all the same!

If you're 3-5 years into your career, it's a really great time to have on ear open to good opportunities - the first 6-8 years of any engineers career are the most important years, so if something better is available & would aid your personal development, whilst improving your work life balance...

Who wouldn't want to hear about that?
