Junior Structural Technician

As a young & aspiring Structural Technician, it's important that you find work within a consultancy who really (truly) appreciate the work a Technician does. 

Too often Technicians can be seen as 'not as important' as the Engineers but in reality, what Technicians do is fundamental to the success of a business - you know, since you create the visual product which can help the end client decide which Engineer they'd like to work with for the project. 

Not only do this particular firm value Technicians as equals but they really invest in their people, meaning that as a young & aspiring Technician, you can be confident that your learning will see you staying up to date with modern methods and softwares, whilst having the opportunity to work on some unreal buildings projects. For example, if you don't know how to use software such as Navisworks, Dynamo & Grasshopper at the moment - that's fine, but they're going to teach you.
