Job-LosAngeles-1

Los Angeles, often spoken about as being one of the most desirable cities on the planet & when you look at the perks of life in Southern California, it’s not hard to see why.

However, for Structural Engineers it can be a destination which lacks opportunity given the fact the majority of firms in Los Angeles are long-established firms & whilst there’s nothing wrong with that, long-established firms can sometimes stunt Engineers within the early-mid stages of their career & who are looking to develop, with a clear progression path ahead of them subject to their own performance, rather than elements out of their control.

So, it may come as news to your ears that at this moment in time, a client I’ve worked with for multiple years now, are looking to add to their relatively new (circa 5 years) & growing Los Angeles office as they approach a headcount of 20 staff in this office. They’ve also just opened up in the Pacific North West, with further plans for expansion – growth has been sustainable though, an important element when factoring in progression as paths haven’t been blocked, which can be a frequent problem in fast-growing operations.

Oh & right now, & during the past couple of years actually, these guys are starting to win some serious projects with serious architects, usually on a repeat-business basis – evidence that the work they do is exceptionally good, to the point they’re able to punch above their weight class a little. Exciting to be a part of, eh?

This firm are really looking for individuals that they can grow & mould for the future which is why the type of person we’d be interested in meeting is relatively broad, so if you’re a Structural Engineer of 3-6 years’ experience looking to work within a modern, forward-thinking, growing design practice which can offer you opportunities for learning & development which simply won’t be as easily (or quickly) accessible where you are, at least not to the same degree – why not get in touch?
