Every now and then, I work on an opportunity where the appeal isn’t just about what the company is today.

The team is still small.
Alongside the Founder, there are currently two Senior Engineers.

The Founder is widely regarded as one of the best engineers many people in the industry have worked with, and rather than growing quickly for the sake of it, they’re focused on building a genuinely excellent engineering practice.
Now, they’re ready to hire their first Design Engineer.
Someone with around 2–4 years’ experience who doesn’t just want another job, but wants somewhere they can really develop.
They’re looking for an individual. A character.
Someone ambitious, curious and eager to learn. Someone who wants responsibility, enjoys asking questions and would find genuine appeal in joining a small business where their own career can grow alongside the company.
Because imagine what the next five years could look like.
You’ll work directly alongside some exceptionally good engineers.
You’ll gain exposure to everything from high-end refurbishments in Central London, to country homes, galleries and plenty more in between.
You’ll become a far more rounded engineer.
And, with the right support and your own ambition, you’ll be Chartered before those five years are up.
As for where the business will be by then?
That’s part of the excitement.
This isn’t an opportunity for someone who wants to disappear into a large team and be given a narrow piece of a project.
